Chapel Hill-Carrboro Meals on Wheels has moved to a new way of delivering meals as a result of the Coronavirus (CoVid-19) coming to our area. To help make deliveries as safe as possible, we are delivering food weekly or bi-weekly, delivering a box of five frozen meals as well as shelf-stable food.
We all are looking for ways to help our neighbors and to do something to help our community get through this challenging time. We have had an outpouring of volunteer support to deliver meals and join our volunteer phone brigade. If you are interested in volunteering, or in keeping up to date on volunteer oportunities with CHCMOW during this time, please complete the volunteer application today.
If you are unable to volunteer but want to help, please donate! The number of older adults in need of assistance during this time is stretching our financial capacity to be able to serve. We are not only delivering our regular weekday daily meal, but also shelf-stable food to stock pantries, and additional items needed by recipients (extra food, cleaning supplies, paper goods, etc).
