In early December 2010 Chapel Hill Carrboro Meals on Wheels received a
charitable contribution in the amount of $7,500.00 from Carol Woods
Retirement Community. This monetary gift was approved by their Board of Directors as a measure of support to enable Meals on Wheels to continue to nourish the lives of the most needy seniors in the area during these
very difficult economic times. Contributions such as these are part of
Carol Woods' commitment to stretch beyond serving its own residents to
further the quality of life for seniors in the larger community.
